A boulevard of its kind is the “main entrance of the capital”, as it begins from the F / A station and the guests of the capital immediately fell onto a wide – more than a hundred meters – avenue. Boulevard, one of the wonderful places to relax in the city, where you can enjoy the surrounding nature and just relax. In the park area there are oaks, elms, birches, acacias, pines, spruces, flower gardens are broken. Evergreen thuja are growing on both sides of the avenue.
Is almost the same age as the city. Back in 1890, the first oak trees of the future park were planted on an area of 2.5 hectares by students of an agricultural school under the direction of botany A. Fetisov, who arrived in Pishpek (the old name of Bishkek) from Russia. For many decades, the oaks have grown: in their dense greenery in the summer, residents of the city and tourists take rest, and nimble red squirrels jump on the branchy branches. In winter, the alleys of the park are covered with thick snow, and in autumn they are covered with motley falling foliage.
Among the attractions of Bishkek, this park is notable for the fact that, if you look at it from a bird’s eye view, it is impossible not to notice that it is built in the shape of a star. And it is no coincidence, because the park is named after Hero of the Soviet Union, Military Commissar of the Kirghiz SSR, Major General Ivan Vasilyevich Panfilov. Next to the park you will find a monument to I. V. Panfilov, which was opened in 1944 and was the first monument in the USSR, established in memory of this hero.
A beautiful green street, which runs the Young Guard Boulevard. It is named in honor of the heroes of World War II, and busts and monuments are installed along the boulevard. In the summer, it’s nice to walk along the boulevard and relax on a bench under the cool shadow of tall trees.
I.V. Panfilova.
